Dr. Martin Michaelis a Professor and Chair member of Cell Biology in Centre for Molecular Processing and School of Biosciences at University of Kent, UK. Prior to this current position he worked as Deputy Head of the Department “Paediatric Tumour and Virus Research” and member of the Board of Dr. Petra Joh Research Institute in Germany. He completed his PhD in pharmaceutics in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, working on drug carrier systems including nanoparticles and liposomes then postdoctorat at the Institute for Medical Virology, Clinics of the Goethe-University. He published many articles related to his field.
Dr. Martin Michaelis research interest includes the investigation of a broad range of drugs in cell biology models from the fields of oncology, virology, immunology, and angiogenesis with an interest in colloidal drug delivery systems and on acquired drug resistance in cancer.
