BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Patrick TK Woo has been a faculty member at the University of Guelph since 1974 (Assistant Professor 1974; Associate Professor 1978; Professor 1984). He was elected Director (2002), Axelrod Institute of Ichthyology and the UoG Senate also elected him as University Professor Emeritus - the appointment was conferred at convocation in 2006 by The Honorable Lincoln M. Alexander, Chancellor. Prior to his academic appointment at UoG in 1974 he was MRC Postdoctoral Fellow and Ballard Fellow at the Ontario Veterinary College, UoG; FAO Andre Mayer Research Fellow at the East African Trypanosomiasis Research Organization, Uganda and at the Serengeti Research Institute, Tanzania; and IDRC Research Consultant and Visiting Scientist at the Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research, Nigeria."
