Journal of Microbiology and Laboratory science (JMLS) is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies on microorganisms and their interaction with hosts and the environment. The journal covers all microbes, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, arches, and protozoa.

JMLS also publishes articles in all areas of microbiology (medical, food and dairy, agricultural, industrial, environmental, pharmaceutical, etc.) and related fields including biotechnology, clinical, biochemistry, emerging infectious diseases, bacteriology, virology, parasitology, mycology, immunology, epidemiology, microbial ecology and vaccinology etc.
