Dr. Giulio Tarro is working as Adjunct Professor in Department of Biology Center for Biotechnology - College of Science and Technology at Temple University in Philadelphia, USA since 2007. He is also acting as chairman for the Committee on BioTechnologies and VirusSphere in World Academy of Biomedical Technologies (WABT) at UNESCO, Paris. He is acting as Vice-Chairman and General Secretary of the Scientific Advisory Board of Unihart Biotech Pharma, N.V.
Dr. Giulio Tarro received many awards and honors for his contribution towards his profession. He is on the editorial board of various national and international medical journals. He has also written many books. He has authored many research articles/books related to human herpesviruses, virus-induced tumor antigens. He has got patent rights on “Antigenic regions of Tumor Liberated Particles (TLP) complexes and antibodies” and “Pharmaceutical compositions comprising natural human interferon” and so on.
His research interest includes: Murine Virology, Antiviral Chemotherapy, Effects of inhibitors on viral replication, Studies on the role of herpesviruses in cancer, Tumor Immunology, and Pathology of AIDS
