Dr. R. C. Gupta is currently working as vice chancellor, Nagaland University, India. He received his M.Sc., Ph.D. in the Department of Chemistry, Lucknow University, India. He received many awards and honors. He Invited speaker at various Universities & institutions in national & international. He had membership in many professional bodies like the International College of Nutrition, Indian Society for Agric-bio chemists. He serves as a reviewer, editor in chief for national and international journals.

Gupta research interest includes Organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and Drug Development, Chemistry and Toxicology of natural substances, nutriceuticals & functional food, amino-acid in nutrition, taurine, analogues and Biological actions, soil heath., environmental Biotechnology aspects, Science popularization & education, and gender issues.
